When I stumbled across this song this morning, I couldn’t really wrap my head around it. Seriously, in a million years I never would have guessed that Showtek, the brotherly duo of Ward and Sjoerd Janssen from the Netherlands, would have produced a remix of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Tonight I’m Getting Over You”. Though it’s miles away from my first favorite of theirs, “FTS” (Fuck The System), don’t expect that the track marks some great departure from the quality music they normally produce. It has festival-worthy drops and a flaring metallic melody, providing great contrast to Jespen’s vocals, which actually add to the track due to Showtek’s placement and editing. Later this month the guys will be playing a few dates in the U.S., so head over to their Facebook to check where and when.
