ItsNate is an MC from one of England's most exciting musical city's, London, the birthplace of artist's such as Dizzee Rascal, Wiley and Skepta. When you come from the same city as some of the greatest UK rappers to ever grace a mic, it's always hard to carve your own path. For Nate however, he's managed to create a sound that is unique in the UK music scene. Take this track "Windy" for example, to me the beat (produced by Sumgii, who has worked with fellow UK rappers such as the Piff Gang) reminds me of cloud rap akin to the likes of Main Attrakionz, with a UK grime twist to it. The spaced out synths are cut through with harsh crunchy basslines, topped off with Nates laid back flow. The visuals for this track are served up by London based visual production company, Pure Primary. They fit perfectly with the vibe of the track, with spacey VHS backdrops and effects.
Having opened up for the likes of Mac Miller, and his rep for putting 110% into his live shows, it's clear to see that people are recognising the potential ItsNate has, and this is only the start for this North London MC.
