Los Angeles based rock band BLAZE FRANCISCO blend 90s grunge with riveting hard rock and desert grit. Their latest single is a seductive and explosive cover of Republica's "Ready To Go". The track release follows an exciting time for the band, right after their first national tour with Sebastian Bach.
With their unmistakable version of "Ready To Go", BLAZE FRANCISCO gives the 90s anthemic hit a unique musical spin, one where stacked electric guitars and screamo vocals remain supreme. It's a powerful, electrifying revival of 90s alternative rock energy, blending desert grit with rock swagger. While retaining the original’s infectious, high-octane spirit, the band injected a darker, more introspective layer into the track. What begins as a party anthem evolves into something far more complex, a meditation on mortality, fate, and the fragile line between chaos and control. Inspired by near-death experiences, Weiss reframes the song as both celebration and surrender, creating what feels like the soundtrack to “the party at the end of the world.”
Fronted by Alex Weiss, whose vocals and songwriting anchor BLAZE FRANCISCO with both intensity and vulnerability, the group channels a raw, cohesive energy. Backed by Jessica Goodwin, Zachary Kibbee, Ariel Bellvalaire, and Philip Nielsen, the lineup feels tight, dynamic, and purpose-driven. Fresh out of the studio where they just recorded their debut EP with Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Chris Cornell) and Dave Catching (earthlings?, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal), the sky's the limit for this rising rock collective.
