Meet pop artist CAPPA, who has steadily carved out a name for herself since the release of her self-titled debut EP in 2015.
After a hiatus spent writing for and collaborating with artists including Alan Walker, The Chainsmokers, Dillon Francis, and Eli Brown, including co-writing Brown's hit single "Be The One," CAPPA now returns to her solo project with "Say You Love Me," her first new single in years and a preview of a new EP set to arrive in fall 2026.
Upon first listen, it's clear that CAPPA has refined a pop formula that works seamlessly for her artistry. "Say You Love Me" radiates an effortless energy, driven by pulsing basslines, shimmering synth melodies, an airy atmosphere, and pristine vocal production. The result is a polished, radio-ready sound that feels tailor-made for a modern romantic comedy or coming-of-age series, evoking the emotional highs and heart-fluttering moments found in shows like Off Campus.
Lyrically, the song's wordplay is slightly addictive. Lines like, "You're in my blood, I'm in your brain, so say it baby," pull listeners deeper into a state of limerence, capturing the intoxicating feeling of becoming consumed by the fantasy of another person and the possibility of a romantic dynamic turning into something more.
As CAPPA explains, "I hope this song gives people permission to feel hopeful again after disappointment, heartbreak, or uncertainty. I wanted it to feel like driving with the windows down and having this feeling of being free, emotional, cinematic, and alive all at once."
Equal parts nostalgic and forward-looking, "Say You Love Me" finds CAPPA embracing the rush of possibility while delivering one of her most immediately infectious pop moments to date.
