Rising UK singer-songwriter Lamar Morris officially begins a new chapter with his long-awaited EP, “WAIT ME! ”, a vibrant 6-track collection shaped by years of musical exploration, cultural immersion, and undeniable passion. The EP is short, purposeful, and very expressive, with each song carefully crafted to show the artist's journey, identity, and change. It lasts just over fifteen minutes.

Morris grew up in East London, where churches from the West Midlands, Jamaica, and Nigeria heavily influenced him. He brings all of these worlds together in a way that is both familiar and new. This is the start of a new era. It's a vivid introduction to an artist who has spent years soaking up music like a sponge, including pop hooks, soulful harmonies, gospel textures, emotional songwriting, and dance-floor energy. “WAIT ME! ” is where all those pieces finally converge.

From the movie-like opening to the great songs "Contemplate" and "Wait Me!" Morris showcases the vocal agility and artistic confidence of someone who has lived inside music since childhood. He started his journey early, writing and producing his first complete song at fourteen. His influences are deep. Michael Jackson’s Thriller was the spark, introduced to him long before YouTube existed. Since then, idols like James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Teddy Pendergrass, Usher, SisQo, Bruno Mars, Ne-Yo, and The Weeknd have shaped his attention to detail, emotional delivery, and performance style.

“WAIT ME! ” carries that lineage proudly. The EP blends shimmering R&B production with soulful storytelling and pop sensibilities, all wrapped in Morris’s smooth, dynamic voice. "Contemplate" is where he shows off his best melody skills, and "Wait Me!" " stands as a personal and emotional centerpiece. These songs show how effortlessly he balances vulnerability with groove, an ability that sets him apart in today’s music landscape.
