Implicit breaks the mold with reflective new single “GUA SHA”

Rising London artist and MC Implicit returns with his new single “GUA SHA,” a track that feels like a stream-of-consciousness catch-up — whether you asked for it or not.

Opening with a jazzy flair and doo-wop-inspired vocals, the production is breezy yet refined, blending brass and groove into a laid-back, soulful soundscape.

Implicit’s flow and lyrical finesse come off casual yet effortlessly sharp, pulling you in closer and making you hang on every word.

There’s an elegance to the track — from his taste for the finer things to his reflections on love, growth, and building each other up instead of tearing each other down. It’s a confident snapshot of where he’s at lately, offering a glimpse into his world — and he doesn’t seem to mind letting us in.

It’s a refreshing spin on rap, steering away from the usual flexes — materialism, clout-chasing, and sex — and instead leaning into something more honest and self-aware.

Instead, Implicit flips the script through storytelling — letting listeners into his world in a way that feels both reflective and fun. It’s a strong introduction to the artist if you haven’t heard his music before, and a reminder that authenticity still hits hardest.
