Dallas Texas raised and now Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Lauren Vahdani has just shared her latest single "What's Good and What's Right". The Americana meets folk tune is the latest off of her forthcoming album set for release later this year.

"What's Good and What's Right" was written on a hike at LA's famed Griffith Park where the creator was walking with her dog Lucy. After a conversation with her musical collaborator, the artist reflected on how difficult times had become. Growing up is challenging, from looking to achieving your purpose to navigating relationships and more. The song contemplates the push and pull of going with what feels right in the moment to what is truly right long term as well as the ultimate right thing to do. Lyrics showing this theme include, "Yeah it's hard when you're caught between / What's good and what's right / Working hard for a dream, can't afford to lose / I didn't know that dream began with me and you." Sonically, "What's Good and What's Right" features layered acoustic guitars, harmonic melodies and twang-filled soundscapes. Lauren Vahdani's vocals have a distinctive quality, somewhere between the sweet warmth of traditional folk/country and the grit of rock and blues. "What's Good and What's Right" blends timeless influences with a raw, authentic voice that resonates with anyone who has ever faced hardship or longing.

Lauren Vahdani is a compelling songwriter and performer who has performed over 150 shows in her short time thus far as an artist. Her musical influences range from Alanis Morissette to Jewel which seep through in her own releases. Add a bit of Texas twang, storied songwriting and musicianship and Lauren Vahdani has created a one-of-a-kind sound. Take a listen to What's Good and What's Right" now and add the gem to your favorite playlist.
