LA-based alt music sibling duo DUPLEXITY set the SXSW's Rolling Stone Future of Music stage alight, opening for Benson Boone and also dropping their latest single "Not Today.” A triumphant anthem about the special moment where you are on top of the world having reached your goals, the track is a celebration of good moments even with the grounding knowledge they may not last.
A reminder to live in the now and find joy in this moment, the track written by the siblings Savannah Judy and Luke Judy alongside Trey Bruce, who also produced it, was recorded in a live session in Nashville, TN at Sound Emporium.
Having begun their careers as child actors before making their way into music, the siblings have transitioned from cutthroat industry to another led by their talent alongside plenty of tenacity.
Most musicians can attest that building a music career doesn't happen overnight. DUPLEXITY noted that it's "important to build your skills every day to succeed in the music industry." They added, "Sometimes, you fall on your face, but you have to get back up and accept that the next time will be better."
Led by anthemic soundscapes, the pair craft tales drawn from personal experience woven with a relatable touch that connects with audiences at an authentic level. With creative expression at the forefront of their artistry, DUPLEXITY has big plans and dreams for their future – from hopes of performing at major festivals like Lollapalooza and Coachella to joining major artists on tours to establishing themselves as global artists who positively influence the world through their music, they are climbing their way to success with each step they take.
