"Strike Back" is the lead single from Big Dese and producer Confidence's upcoming collaborative album titled Kool Moe Dese. The track harks back to the golden era of rap with raw lyricism and hard-hitting soundscapes that have come to define 90s rap. Confidence's rugged soundscape comprising obscure sample chops with scenic elements, soft vocal samples, and crunchy drum breaks serves as the foundation for Big Dese's unbridled showcase of his verbal prowess. Just as the title suggests, it's pure verbal vitriol for anyone who dares to go against them.
The forthcoming project Kool Moe Dese, is a tribute to hip-hop culture with the concept of one emcee and one producer pooling their resources to create one cohesive project. The title is a nod to the legendary Kool Moe Dee as well.
Big Dese hails from the North Shore of Massachusetts and is also in the rap duo The Dunnas along with Oak Lonetree. Confidence hails from Philly and started DJing with his brother, Technic in the mid 90’s.
