Myer Clarity declares "Open Season (Luigi Mangione Rap Song)"

Montreal-born, Toronto-based multi-genre producer, and songwriter Myer Clarity candidly states his mind in his new single "Open Season (Luigi Mangione Rap Song)."  From the obvious title, you can tell where the discussion is headed but Myer Clarity leaves nothing to the imagination with his unapologetic and graphic songwriting approach. The track is a mix of social-political commentary, angst, and a dash of horror-core vibes reminiscent of early Eminem records.

From the jump, listeners are thrown right into the fray as Myer embodies the spirit of Luigi Mangione and the call for solidarity amongst the masses. Lines like "While shares climb to the top/And you lobby the law/So you can rob us all and report record profit in awe/Am I wrong?" point fingers at the powers that be, reminding them of their legislated atrocities which will eventually yield drastic consequences.

The song is quite a departure from the talented producer/songwriter's recent releases but it shows a return to his hip-hop roots.

Born and raised in Montreal to a French-Canadian mother and Jewish father, Myer expressed interest in music at age 12, after his neighbor Sagi (NL5) brought him to his first recording session at 1180 St Antoine. Booking sessions with his own saved lunch money, Myer began learning audio engineering first-hand and hasn't looked back since.
