Rising Chinese-American DJ and producer HELANG fortifies her status as a formidable force in the electronic music scene with the release of her highly anticipated EP Life Is Music via her own imprint Dauntless Records.

A 2-track delivery, the EP’s title track “Life Is Music” is joined by the recently released lead single “From The Back.” Together the tracks are a complimenting exposition deeper into HELANG’s musical aptitudes across indie dance, techno, and tech-house.

Building upon the critical acclaim of her Lovers of the Unknown EP, Life Is Music marks a dynamic development in HELANG's artistic evolution. This EP showcases her versatility and technical prowess, delivering a sonic experience that pushes the boundaries of contemporary dance genres. With its audacious experimentation and uncompromising sound design, 'Life Is Music' is a testament to HELANG's fearless approach to production and her ability to craft music that is both innovative and deeply resonant.

The Life Is Music EP, a powerful two-track offering, showcases the multifaceted nature of HELANG's artistry. As she explains, "The 2 tracks have a perfect juxtaposition between one another- while "From The Back" is more sexy and badass, Life Is Music is more emotional and vulnerable."

Coming up on November 7th, 2024, HELANG will be curating her debut Dauntless Records showcase, set to take place at Brooklyn’s beloved underground stomping grounds H0L0. Tickets are available now via RA.

Renowned for her dynamic sets, Helang has graced stages alongside industry titans such as Eric Prydz, Testpilot (Deadmau5), John Digweed, Camelphat, Lilly Palmer, Argy, Joris Voorn, Mathame, and more. With releases on esteemed European labels like Manual Music and Stress Records, HELANG’s musical journey culminated in the launch of her own imprint, Dauntless Records, in 2023. Her music has garnered acclaim from luminaries including Maceo Plex, Nicole Moudaber, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Karotte, and others.

As HELANG continues to carve out her unique space in the electronic music landscape, she offers a bold, uncompromising voice that resonates with listeners seeking authenticity and innovation in dance music.
