Arkansas based rapper LG Malique has just shared his latest single "Seven Years”. The track is an impassioned remake of Lukas Graham's famous hit and features LG Malique's captivating rhythmic flow. The song is a highlight off of his debut EP Living Gold that was just released via Warner Records.

The song explores his past as a teenager and the trials and tribulations he has gone through in his life including growing up in the hood, using drugs, and experiencing parental abuse. He raps,"Roaming the hood as a kid / it was hard tryna walk in a straight line / By 13, we was smoking weed and popping them perkys / I was getting beatings /My momma would hurt me / So I had to cope," Soon the track goes through time as he writes his first song and realizes his dream at 20 years old. Now at almost 30 he reacts to his success and accomplishments in a heartwarming end to the track. Musically, "Seven Years" begins with mood-laced dreamy piano under LG Malique's effortless rhythms. The track also features a guest appearance by the song's originator Lukas Graham who lends his talents in singing the hook.
