In case you missed it, legendary Detroit emcee Phat Kat re-released his digital collection of the 3-part EPs Dedication To The Suckers and Re-Dedication To The Suckers EPs!(U.S. and Euro versions) in 2023. The original project, which came out in 2015, is chock-full of hard-hitting beats and unapologetic rhymes that characterize Phat Kat's status as a mainstay in the Detroit underground scene. Now, he teams up with producers 14KT and Tall Black Guy for the remix of his song "Still Bubblin'." This new version ditches the darker tone of the original and opts for a jazz-soul aesthetic comprising slick keys, warm textures, and vocal samples from a Dennis Edwards song.
The accompanying visual follows Phat Kat in his element as he casually strolls through a beautiful location filled with eye-popping structures.
