Rising artist DrT is a certified medical doctor and musician who was raised in a musically diverse home where he was exposed to both Western and Middle Eastern music. Although he soaked in various influences from hip-hop, jazz, soul and Arabian sounds, he didn't start making music professionally until 2023 when he decided to explore his creative side.
His afrobeats debut single "Lie All the Time" is a smooth afro fusion track that is underpinned by sultry melodies and bravado raps that see him giving listeners a glimpse into his lifestyle and experiences as a young man on the dating scene. The track is bolstered by a moody and atmospheric texture, punchy afro beats-inspired drum grooves and DrT's smooth and collected flow as he takes us on a tale that involves a steamy session with a young baddie while flexing his verbal biceps and reminding the opposition that he is here to stay. DrT also peppers the track with his trilingual skill as he weaves English, Arabic and French seamlessly.
Besides making music, DrT has worked in the corporate and academic space and has been featured as the in-house Doctor on GQ many times
He is also working on new music and has a couple of songs on the horizon which include a remix of his song " One More Time" by HANI and a collaboration with Lagos-based singer Kinginn.
