We Are Scorpio is the new alternative rock duo in town, made up of award-winning, world-renowned poet, recording artist, book publisher, screenwriter, and actor, Jessica Care Moore, and dynamic vocalist, songwriter, and musical theatre performer, Steffanie Christi’an. The duo are currently working on their forthcoming eponymous debut album but in the interim, they share the visuals for their single "Supa Dupa Star" featuring legendary Brooklyn-raised emcee Talib Kweli. "Supa Dupa Star"  is a rousing post-rock jam with anthemic guitar riffs, soulful melodic runs, and punchy drum grooves brought together by award-winning guitarist, songwriter, and producer Wayne Gerard and it sees the duo embodying the spirit of the mythical "Supa Dupa Star". Armed with rich vocal runs, insightful and aspirational lyrics with unapologetic themes about how fame changed that past flame and how things were much simpler in the past. Joing them is Talib who floats effortlessly over the frenzied production with his signature rapid flow and vivid lyricism.

The visual shot in Puerto Rico is quite engaging and blends energetic live performances with shots of the beautiful Caribbean island and its wonderful people and culture.

*Press Release: The upcoming self-titled debut album delves into parts unknown and takes the road less travelled to get there. A unique take on modern rock, the project dares to imagine a world in which spoken word poetry and rock & roll riffs occupy the same space. Across the album’s ten tracks, We Are Scorpio goes beyond what we can even imagine. The duo tapped award-winning guitarist, songwriter, and producer Wayne Gerard who stepped in to help produce tracks “Supa Dupa Star,” “Scorpio,” “Rock & Roll Ni**a,” and “Jim Crow.” Expansive and intimate at the same time, the album is not only unapologetically Black, but universal all at once. Be prepared: We Are Scorpio is coming whether you’re ready or not.
