Oslo-based producer, DJ, and record collector Ol' Burger Beats is primed to drop his forthcoming LP, 74: Out of Time, a conceptual project that pairs some of his favourite emcees with dusty instrumentals produced at 74bpm. In the interim, he shares "Recuperating", a chilled soulful jam that taps the talents of rappers Gabe 'Nandez and Fly Anakin. Ol' Burger helps lay the foundation with an expertly chopped sample made up of rich keys, and warm pads all underpinned by lively drum grooves while the rappers showcase their skill. Gabe opens it up with his gruff laidback flow followed by Fly Anakin's high-pitched tone and off-kilter lyrical schemes.
Since 2014 Oslo-based producer, DJ and record collector Ol' Burger Beats has been releasing music and instrumental hip-hop albums steadily, establishing a dedicated following to his heavily jazz- and soul-influenced sound. That very signature sound of his has been likened to many of his personal heroes and has taken him to playing Boiler Room shows, collaborating with numerous names of HipHop’s underground such as Quelle Chris, Jeremiah Jae, Illa J orChester Watson and counting more than 10 records on wax gaining over 40M Spotify streams on his profile to this day.
