Providence, RI-based rapper Lord Willin is not new to EARMILK and with more than a handful of singles/videos and multiple collaborations under his belt, the man is not slowing down anytime soon. His latest release "Slow Burn" is the lead track from his forthcoming collaboration with Welsh producer Mr.Phormula. Just as the title suggests, the record is as mellow and moody as they come. The production is made up of dreamy and ethereal synths, pads and rumbling live drums that are underpinned by Lord Willin's fast-paced delivery and introspective lyrics that dig deep into his inner thoughts and the many piercing emotions that swirl around. He ties it up with a sing-songy chorus where he finds the perfect outlet to channel his troubles by putting them on paper and watching them burn figuratively speaking.
Video director Tony Bizz takes charge and helps bring the song to life with a motif-driven visual that makes use of performance shots and moody lighting that centers around stillness. We see Lord Willin drowning out the noise around him by focusing on the things that bring balance to his center.
