Uprising Swiss R&B artist Jaywakeup is a man who wears many hats. He started working in the music industry as a producer/sound engineer and started releasing his own music in 2021 and now he is back with his latest single "Hide" which showcases his production and singing prowess. The self-produced track starts off with rich textures, congas and soft pads that slowly build up when his vocals come into play. The Zurich, Switzerland-based artist sure has a distinct tone and his laidback melodic style stands out with its delicate tone and richness while the relatable songwriting is easy to latch onto. Here, he talks about a sneaky summer link-up that he wants to keep secret for reasons best known to him and I bet most guys and ladies can relate as well. The dynamism in the styles is on full display as he starts off with a melody-rich verse and switches into a sing-songy rap style on the second verse and ties them up with a catchy and memorable hook.
