London festival GoToBeat champions D.I.Y culture and diversity on their lineup

The UK can proudly boast a dearth of festival variety, with multiple events taking place up and down the country every weekend. Though like other places across the map, we still fail to address the imbalance on female and non-binary artists on their bill. To take one step closer to solving this issue, Gotobeat Festival have announced their exciting line up to be performing on the 9th and 10th of September at Signature Brew, Blackhorse Road in London

Headlined by the two impressive acts, girli (Pictured above) and Kadeem Tyrell, the festival holds a diverse and exciting array of artists for both days. The first day will feature artists such as Beth McCarthy, Now Ex, Orchards, PYRA, Charlie Barker, leading on to another sensational day with artists like Sophie Faith, LEMZI, Masha, Naia and Mary Sho.

DJ sets can be heard from Gotobeat’s regular roster of live artists as a London-based promoter to get the end of summer vibes going.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the festival, Max Busin, the GoToBeat CEO explains

“We have re-launched our flagship festival with a conscious increased attention to diversity and community. The change starts from the independent scene and our festival wants to be a movement for good. This is the biggest, boldest lineup we have ever put together and we are so excited about it. ”

This is a strong step from the upcoming live music promoter and they’re by no means the only ones taking it. However, it’s something that we just don’t see enough across our festival calendar. Make sure and head down if you’re in London on the 9th/10th September and support upcoming live music

Tickets can be purchased on the website and start from £30 for both days.
