Pawtucket, Rhode Island-based rapper and producer Bobby Thibs dives deep into the dynamics of love in his new release "Cupid's Revenge". The track is made up of snapping drums, and sombre textures made up of solemn pads and flutes and sees him rhyming in a distinct melodic drawl and somewhat deadpan cadence. The lyrics however are dark, and gloomy and show listeners how delicate and dangerous toxic relationships can be. From emotional manipulation, gaslighting, mental abuse and unending toxicity. Thibs off-beat singing also adds an interesting feel to the track as we hear the voice of a man who is slowly dying inside
The song also comes with a visually stunning Claymation music video that captures the slow decay of a man's soul.
