Amen Sioux, the enigmatic and talented musician, has once again graced us with his musical prowess. Following the success of his punchy and anthemic track "Useless," Sioux has released his second single of 2023, the laidback and nonchalant "Dramatic." This latest offering solidifies the anticipation for his forthcoming EP, showcasing Sioux's ability to captivate listeners with his softly sophisticated sound.

"Dramatic" delves into the complex dynamics of an unhealthy romantic relationship, where both partners find it challenging to let go of each other. The song takes us into the pensive and tension-filled mindset between lovers, illustrating the disdain of having a clingy partner and the havoc they can wreak. Yet, it also appeals to the intricacies of our human nature, highlighting the difficulty of parting ways even when we know it's for the best.

The track features a co-produced modern soul feel, with Sioux delivering conversational lyricism over a light Rhodes Piano base and a gently driving, lo-fi beat. This combination effortlessly carries the listener along for a mesmerising ride. Sioux's gritty aesthetic and vivacious confidence shine through, enveloping the song with a rock star mysticism that is undeniably inviting.

Amen Sioux's signature sound is a unique amalgamation of indie electronica, lo-fi dream pop, alt R&B, and psychedelia. Fearlessly exploring new territories and pushing boundaries, Sioux's music continuously enthrals his audience. His raw, edgy persona and undeniable charisma are injected into his sound, creating an addictive and alluring experience that sets him apart.

With infectious hooks, dynamic vocals, and expert synth work, "Dramatic" adds another gem to Sioux's treasure chest of sounds. The song vibrates with electricity and leaves a lasting impression, showcasing Sioux's evolving musical journey and his ability to craft tunes that resonate deeply.

Sioux describes his new approach to the writing process, stating, "I reset my approach to recording to make the EP. After I struggled to write using my laptop, I found success working in studios alongside other musicians and professional producer and engineer Maurizio Baggio (Boy Harsher)." This fresh perspective and collaboration have undoubtedly contributed to the rich and immersive experience offered by "Dramatic."

It's intriguing to note that Amen Sioux remains a mysterious figure, intentionally keeping a low online presence. Little is known about him beyond his music, leaving fans eager to unravel the enigma. While whispers of his past life as part of New Ivory and connections to Dim Mak, Steve Aoki's record label still linger, Sioux seems determined to let his art speak for itself, at least for now.
