Colorado talent Jack Dawkins drops infectious hip-hop track “Slap,” featuring anthemic beats, atmospheric synths and groovy bass lines that cushions a textured and dynamic delivery that takes us on a journey.
Showcasing Dawkin’s story-driven lyrical ability as well as his ability to craft immersive instrumentals, the track is filled with punchiness and introspection to equal levels, with a cinematic music video to elevate the layered sonics.
Speaking on the track, he added, “This is the third track that I have had the pleasure of masterminding with Ugly Fun. We got connected through a marketing program but found out that we had a lot of similarities musically and in how our brains process information. Jeremy is a SUPER innovative producer. He doesn't use typical song structure and instead allows the instrumental to wind and weave across different rhythms and textures while using a strong bassline to keep it feeling cohesive.”
