Self-taught producer, singer and songwriter Varas delves into avoiding responsibilities on bouncy number “Hell No,” featuring a seamless blend of indie rock and dreamy pop led by enchanting vocal lines that move from distorted to buttery in a smooth showcase of his sonic prowess.

With thoughtful lyricism, “I can’t stay for the hell of it / I’m just here for the weekend love / I try leaving but you keep saying no / Oh no, hell no,” the track weaves a resonant tale on trying to avoid thinking or acting upon your responsibilities, instead seeking to distract yourself by highlighting only the easy-going moments.

The captivating number is accompanied by vibrant, glitchy visuals that encapsulate the chaotic vibe of the track. Showing Varas in a bright-blue boxed room on set with only the company of his drummer and an old-school TV switching between displaying white noise, the video unveils pleasing aesthetic in addition to his enticing artistic presence.

Offering a punchy glimpse of his upcoming EP, Benjamin Muñoz Varas under the moniker Varas promises to be an addictive addition to the contemporary indie scene.
