Skofee is an alt-pop artist based in Los Angeles known for her incisive lyricism, sultry vocals, and colorful sonics. Skofee's latest single “I’m Sorry I Killed Your Plant” was written about the looming end of her past relationship marked with clear signs and signals, including the accidental killing of her partner’s house plant. Original, deeply reflective, and rooted in wit and insight, Skofee digs into old wounds as she moves into a new chapter.

“I’m Sorry I Killed Your Plant” features mesmerizing beats, diluted acoustics, and layered harmonies that create a textural and atmospheric chamber of emotion. Skofee ruminates on the mistakes she made and the moments of pain and confusion that clouded her judgment throughout the relationship.

She writes, “Stuck in the bedroom / talking it all through / wish there was something I could point to.” Skofee captures the metaphor of a dying relationship through the image of a killed plant that was originally offered to her as a sweet gesture. Full of luster, poetic poise, and heartbreak unique to the songwriter's personal story, “I’m Sorry I Killed Your Plant” takes a deep dive through a series of vivid events that captures the experience of loss.

Skofee is originally from Wichita, Kansas and moved to California to study at USC. The talented songwriter has worked alongside acclaimed producer Post Pop and Grammy-nominated vocalist and producer Cimo Fränkel to name a few. Her upcoming highly anticipated EP Joyland will be released this year.
