German multi-platinum producer and songwriter Shuko has shared a new single called “How Long”, which features a decorated cast of collaborators that includes Nia Wyn, Pete Philly, and Keymer. "How Long” marks a continuance of the artist's expansive catalogue which includes a number of gold and platinum records, as well as production credits for the likes of Anderson Paak, The Chainsmokers, and Lil Wayne. With engagingly vintage sonics that are simultaneously refreshing, Shuko employs a warm, jazzy soundscape to craft a truly comforting and catchy track, while showcasing a natural chemistry with collaborators Wyn, Philly, and Keymer in the process.

“How Long” opens with glowing keys that meld smoothly with breezy guitars, before organic sounding percussion and rich bass are added to create a silky rhythm section. Vocalist Nia Wyn begins with a unique and captivating vocal tone, while demonstrating her range, trading off with rapper Pete Philly, who matches the vibrant energy of her performance neatly with a heartfelt, melodically tinged verse. Underscored by elegant strings and ethereal harps weaved in dynamically, “How Long” makes for a cozy, immersive listen overall, and inspires a pensive mood in the process.

With a hearty influence of soul, jazz, hip-hop, and R&B, “How Long” showcases Shuko’s love for vintage sounds spanning decades. “How Long” continues his extensive run of versatile, soulful offerings and has us excited for what may be coming next from the German producer.
