BIRCHES originally hail from Armagh and Tyrone in Northern Ireland. An emo/indie outift at heart, BIRCHES have created a unique and signature sound that pays homage to many different influences. Nowadays, BIRCHES don’t even live in the same city, or even country, however they still manage to create and craft a signature sound that is sure to entice you into their musical world. Impressively, they still remain 100% self-produced.
Their latest single "BE UNKNOWN" is warmly-penned and written for a good cause. Chorus-soaked guitars create a colourful melting pot of melodies. A simple but effective drum beat works hand in glove with a grooving bass line. On top, vocals are emotionally-penned and tinged with rawness, working well with smartly-written lyrics.
Expanding on the single, they say: “…it feels like everything before was all a prequel and Everything to come is the beginning of chapter one of our story. "BE UNKNOWN" story is of just getting up and doing it, whether that’s calling a loved one, starting a new project or even just getting out of bed in the morning. All those things can be tough for someone and we hope this song can give the inspiration to do so.”
