Sharktank are the creators of a laid-back, easygoing and sophisticated yet jazzy style of music that’s been breaking through. Their new single “Chemtrails & Paper Planes” is taken from their forthcoming LP Acting Funny. Packed with gentle easy listening guitar chords, subtle harmonies and a steady kick beat, the new single demonstrates the idea behind their music touching upon insecurities and self-criticism.

Speaking on the new single, Sharktank wrote “Chemtrails & Paper Planes marks change: The band has a ready-made text for the first time; the song acts as a symbolic analogy of their changed production method. It tells of the perceptible change in the world and the escape into one’s own childhood, searches for a connection to the naively beautiful, for lightness, through gentle instrumentation and melancholy.”

“Chemtrails & Paper Planes” makes for an engaging, jazz-tinged indie release, out now on all streaming platforms.
