Rich Fayden flips Bobby Brown's "Don't Be Cruel" into a deep house jam

Singer/songwriter Rich Fayden has been slowly building his reputation as songwriter and with his love for remakes that bring a whole new refreshing feel to the original version. He hit it big time in 2016 when he decided to recreate a song he grew up with, the song is called “Lady (Hear me tonight)” by Modjo.

This remake was on another level and in a short time after being released the song blew up the radio charts and ended up 2 weeks at #1 on Sirius XM.  Before long the song was a club classic running side by side with the original and garnering a lot of praise for the singer/songwriter.

His latest venture sees him resurrecting an 80s pop/R&B classic with his version of Bobby Brown's “Don’t Be Cruel”. The original which had that classic bright R&B vibe and New Jack Swing energy gets a new life with a slowed-down and bass-heavy retouch.

Rich Fayden goes to a different plateau with this one and makes use of dark textures and a groovy drum track with the ever-so-memorable melody that keeps the listener glued to the speakers. I must say, this version is quite unique and lives up to the expectation by keeping the integrity of the original while delivering something brand new for old and new audiences alike.
