Following his explosive summer tour with St. Louis-bred rap icon Luh Kel, Star2 emerges with an explosive new banger that documents his “rags to riches” story on “New Me.” The single comes off of Star2’s highly anticipated upcoming EP and features Soulja Boy and Luh Kel, putting the explosive trio on the map as collaborators and further proving that Star2 is a rising rap force to be reckoned with.

“New Me” is an overindulgent fantasy as Star2 celebrates his success story and assures his younger self that everything works out just fine. Featuring unapologetic candid lyricism and robust production complete with an entrancing strings section, the song is confident and relentless, showing a new side of the young rapper. Lyrics such as, " I be talking and living this sh– // It's like a movie you gotta pay if you wanna see me // Sorry not sorry," proves that Star2 is walking his own walk and seeing his value. Star2 definitely holds his own with the legendary Luh Kel and Soulja Boy on “New Me,” celebrating his younger self’s dream of greatness and proving his ambition as an emerging rap icon.

Star2 began his life in a refugee camp where he was forced to flee genocide from the Burmese army in Myanmar who burned his village to the ground. A lottery in the camp brought him to San Diego with his grandmother and her four children. “New Me" began in San Diego when Star2 was a child and has evolved into his promising rap career. Star2’s highly anticipated upcoming EP is set for 2023 and will feature artists such as HoodTrophy Bino from Soulja Boy’s Stacks on Deck Money Gang label, Soulja Boy, Luh Kel, CMG’s Lil Poppa, $tupid Young, and Mozzy.
