New Orleans-raised band Miss Mojo has been a community-driven group from the jump, and is comprised of vocalists Piper Browne, Jenna Winston, Grammy-winning producer and drummer Mack Major and a handful of New Orleans instrumentalists. Since bursting through the scene in 2016, the band has been through the wringer, but the love of music kept them together.
Their latest effort "Waiting'" is a rousing upbeat jam that evokes the party nights of our fantasies, the kind of night we all longed for after months of isolation. Bolstered by the lush guitar riffs, pulsating basslines and warm keys underpinned by a punchy drum groove, vocalists Piper and Jenna both join forces and deliver a sultry and alluring vocal performance celebrating the camaraderie between the band members. The track is interwoven by a short guitar solo that harks back to the classic Motown records and also allows the track to breathe for a few seconds as the vocalists come back in to give us some more fun.
"Waitin'" is taken from the band's latest project Horizon, which serves as Miss Mojo’s most thoughtful and ambitious project to date.
