Madrid-based duo Moanday has been on a musical streak since the release of their debut single "Tell Me" back in 2020. The group has since released 3 remarkable singles in 2021 ("Blue Ceilings", "MALDEAMORES", & "LA MOLINA") with "Blue Ceilings" achieving critical acclaim from tastemakers and blogs alike for its infectious groove and relatable songwriting.
The group has since taken a brief hiatus in order to fully dial-in and refine their nostalgic indie-funk sound. Today the group has finally resurfaced with their first single of 2022, "too good to be true". The new single is a massive, future-funk anthem that is as equally inspired by the nostalgic guitar licks & grooves of Nile Rogers & Rod Temperton as they are by the slick electronic synth melodies and production of Random Access Memories-era Daft Punk.
It is a big leap forward for the sound of the group and if itis indicative of future releases, 2022 should be a great year for Moanday.
