As LA-based veteran emcees Fatlip and Blu prepare to drop their collaborative project, they share the somber Knxwledge-produced track “Street Life.” The choppy, sublime track is ripe with Fatlip's stream of consciousness flow, Blu's vivid imagery, and finally, MC Eiht's gruff no holds barred performance to cap it off. The track is a mix of bravado and insight from the emcees who give listeners a preview into the dynamics of the street life we all glorify from afar. The chorus is memorable and interpolates Randy Crawford's classic tune of the same name.
"Street Life" is the follow-up to Fatlip and Blu's previous single "Good For The Soul" and it's taken from the duo's forthcoming album Live From the End of the World Vol. 1, (Demos) due 4/29 via Guilty By Association (GBA). The project promises a host of features ranging from Madlib, Del the Funky Homosapien, Gift of Gab, Chali 2na, Exile, Slimkid3, and more.
