Legendary Hieroglyphics crew rhymer Casual's new single "Raw" is a hard-hitting rap posse cut that showcases the verbal prowess of Rockness Monsta (Heltah Skeltah), P-Dirt, and some excellent cuts delivered by DJ Jason D. The rock-infused record produced by DEAD PERRY is a cinematic affair and it's as dynamic as they come with its crunchy drum grooves, crisp electric guitar riffs, and scenic textures. The setup starts with the commanding vocals from Rockness Monsta who drop unfiltered bars followed by Casual's laidback and evocative lyrical stylings. P-Dirt provides the connecting hook while DJ Jason D adds that quintessential hip-hop touch with the scratches.

The Art Of Reanimation by Casual & DEAD PERRY

"Raw" is taken from the forthcoming digital and limited CD & Cassette release from Below System Records (with vinyl version courtesy of Tuff Kong Records) entitled The Art Of Reanimation. The 18-track body of work is scheduled to drop on the 28th of January and features some remixes from Casual's Big Head Science LP from 2020 and includes four new tracks. Production is primarily handled by DEAD PERRY and long-time ally L Nasty who tackles a handful of tracks

The project is filled with a plethora of legendary emcees and notables from the recent boom-bap renaissance. These guests include Ghostface Killah, Planet Asia, Ras Kass, Killah Priest, ETO, Daniel Son, Celph Titled, Crimeapple, DJ TMB, Phesto, Tristate, J-Spliff, MC Wicks, and more.
