You know those relationships that are so toxic and controlling you feel like you have completely lost yourself? Singer-songwriter’s Leon Stanford’s single “Whose Life?” is a response to manipulative partnerships. He begs the question “Whose life am I really living?” The delicate track showcases tender guitars and emotive vocals pulling at your heartstrings. Passionately singing, “Was I ever in control. Of my heart, of my soul,” you can really sense that deep pain.

The emerging Welsh artist is known for his gentle tunes bursting with so much poignancy. Stanford used to write songs in a band, but over the last two years he has focused on his solo work. His first single “Broken but Complete” drew him many fans. Developing a raw and authentic sound, he writes of his own profound experiences while also taking inspiration from those around him. This new song was conceived with a friend in mind. Stanford reveals, “there's no real answer or release in the song, it's more of a constant build of questions so when the song ends the listener and myself should feel empowered to wanna take control and give the answer.”
