The East and West Coast collide as rapper Rick Hyde meets rapper/producer Body Bag Ben for this short but heavy project titled Hyde The Body Bag. The duo met during Hyde's trip to the West Coast and in no time, Ben set up a make-shift studio and the 5 track body of work was born just like that.
The project's opener "Skywalker OG Freestyle" is as ominous as they come and perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the LP. Hyde is in full form as well and recruits emerging rapper GoToMar$ for a little assist with the bars. This is followed by the lead single "Voodoo," a snarling track that is ripe with macabre aesthetic and crispy drum grooves. Here, Ben and Hyde trade vivid bars that would leave hip-hop lovers doing the screwed face. On "Make Amends" the duo showcase that raw, gritty energy that goes against the grain. The project is definitely not for the faint-hearted and tracks like the title track and the closer "Tiger Blood" displays unrelenting energy and undeniable chemistry between Hyde and Ben.
