Sydney-based future soul singer NGAIIRE caught our eyes with this expressive visual for her song "Closer," which explores societal constructs around love, sex and femininity. The production is a mix of dark pop elements and soulful aesthetics with a retro twist. The production is rich and crisp with a throbbing bass synth, moody pads, and punchy grooves that set the perfect backdrop for NGAIIRE's emotive performance and sultry melodic runs.

NGAIIRE teams up with director  Adam Kiers who helps bring the artist's vision to full view with an engaging dystopian set piece. From the dark moody settings, dark costumes and choreography that centres around a cult who must abstain from all forms of affection. Viewers follow the story of two lovers who are part of this cult and their tragic love tale in a society where being in love is a punishable offence. The landscape here is absolutely gorgeous and adds to the mystic of the theme as well as the expressive choreography that hep drive the story forward.

NGAIIRE has built quite a resume for herself from countless accolades such as four National Live Music Awards,an FBi Radio SMAC Award for best live act and has graced festivals such as Glastonbury and Splendour In The Grass ,just to name a few. She recently joined the Majestic Casual roster.

"Closer" is taken from her upcoming third album 3 which is due for release on Friday, 27th August. Get "Closer" on all DSPs here.
