Hailing out of Wilmington, California, rapper & songwriter Dre'es has been making his way in the SoCal music scene since around 2014, when he released his debut Work In Progress mixtape. Taking initial inspiration from Kendrick Lamar, MF DOOM, Frank Ocean, Mac Miller & Tyler, The Creator, Dre was able to craft a breezy but authentic brand of West-coast rap that was inspired by the underground scene never felt confined by it, instead choosing to experiment with brighter arrangements & production paired with genuine songwriting.

Earlier this month, Dre released his first project of 2021, the HOME ERA EP which featured the singles "Texas Speed", "Ritah Baby", & "2011". The rapper has since released a stunning visual for "Texas Speed" directed by frequent collaborator & visual artist Joce, that features our young spitter alone out on the road in the back of all white-pickup truck, trekking through a scenic landscape and ruminating on past failed relationships.

"Texas Speed is my end credits," Dre'es explains. My farewell to the person and artist I was as I transition to the person/artist I currently am and have been. My closure will breathe, live and echo on "Texas Speed" forever. Making Peace with my past as I ride off into the sunset, a new story begins!"
