Atlanta-based artist Kenny Mason is ready for static as he and the homies cruise around the neighborhood on their bikes. On Wednesday of this week, Mason released a music video for his song, "Play Ball," off of his most recent album, Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut. The song's title is "Play Ball" and, well, in the video the clique actually makes their way to a local baseball park.
"Play Ball" was produced by Julian Cruz and Mason. It's one of the rock-sounding numbers from the Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut placed precisely in the album's middle, turning every head midway into the record. The energy of the song production and video are not nearly as amped and violent as the actual message. The premise of the song is that him and his friends are really down for whatever. If you're really wanting to "play ball' with him and his people, 'it could get real.' In simpler terms, if anyone has beef, they're prepped for any level of action.
The visual was directed by Nasser Boulaich who has directed many Mason videos in the past, and DP'd by Benji Flores. If you've followed Kenny Mason, you'll also notice he's got a 'puppy/pup' theme. So, fittingly, they made sure to have some pit bull sightings. It's all simply a bonafide home-run. Watch the music video above.
