There are times when we could all use an emotional lift and music is often the perfect remedy. Tracks like James Vickery’s latest “You Comfort Me” in particular will surely help shine some daylight into even the darkest corners of our consciousness. With a boost from Atlanta collective EARTHGANG, the single is just the latest offering from the South London vocalist’s forthcoming debut album Songs That Made Me Feel, which is set for release on July 16 via TH3RD BRAIN Records.

Jack Dine joined forces with Maths Times Joy for the production on “You Comfort Me,” which sets the stage for Vickery’s upbeat vocals with its bubbling bass line and buoyant groove. The singer shows why his name has become well established in the U.K. R&B scene with his sleek delivery and catchy melodies, and an endearing video to boot. The guest verse from EARTHGANG takes the track to another level with characteristically bold lyrics and stylish flow. “You Comfort Me” is a perfect soundtrack to the arrival of summer and provides more excitement for Vickery’s upcoming LP.

"You Comfort Me" is available to stream or download here.
