Meet Owen Duff, acclaimed U.K. songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who is best known for his thought-provoking lyricism and striking chamber-pop sounds. After incredible success with performing at some of the most iconic venues in the U.K. and his music being featured in soundtracks for Thirteen Downs, The Falls and their two sequels, Owen shares his latest offering entitled “One Word”, which is off his upcoming album bed.
“One Word”reflects on what it means to be gay and to travel on an unconventional path set apart from traditional norms. The track ruminates on thoughts centered around love and relationships, and his own emotional needs being met. “I just need to hear that one word” Duff sings in the chorus line, which touches your soul, because we all want to feel a love reciprocated.
With vibrant brass, eccentric folk soundscapes, and colorful hook-inspiring vocals, the song is impressively arranged in a very eclectic fashion which makes it captivating ear candy that is entirely unique to the listener. Owen’s brilliant songwriting will have you humming the melody and chorus long after you finish the song.
Owen Duff creates everything related to his music, from his artwork, videos, and the playing or programming of nearly all of the instruments on his songs. His catalogue includes five EPs, the next being bed, which is set for release later this year.
