LACUNA J is here to remind you that you're worth better in “Fool (For Loving You)”

Pop princess LACUNA J has just dropped the luminous, electro-pop tune “Fool (For Loving You).” After witnessing her close friend being whipped up and love struck by a toxic, unappreciative person, LACUNA J took it upon herself to get her message across in the best way she could – through music.

Knowing what it feels like to be in her position, the songwriter felt helpless and wanted to voice her feelings in this bold new anthem. She shares, “I guess it’s a silent plea for them to figure it out on their own without my interfering but the frustration of also sitting back not wanting to be officious.”

Melodies hover over an electro-pop beat pouring out lyrical piano and dancing electro flares, which switch between rich, fat synth pulses. The tune is highly listenable, memorable and very relatable. “Can't quit but she's better off without you,” she sings, describing love as an addiction (which is apt as the song is highly addictive.) The song has an intimate glaze and is a subconscious nod to all those in an unhealthy relationship.

“Fool (For Loving You)” follows the British artists' 2020 lockdown releases "Confessions" and "Red Wine," both of which stay true to her desire to pen honest and relatable songs for all the twenty-somethings. So if you're looking for a little relationship advice, then look no further, LACUNA J is your girl.
