Indie-pop Londoner George Eve unleashes his infectious new single “Gates”. The easy-going track floats through our ear waves with lush, silky vocals and delectable, delicate soundscapes.
"Gates" oozes with an airy, energy that is pure feel-good fun. The song is a candid account of chasing your dreams in hopes of someday finding that oasis you’ve been searching for. George reveals of the track, “One day I was noodling on the guitar and found the song’s easy groove. I was feeling pretty happy at the time, so I tried to be as honest as possible lyrically and the whole song emerged at once. It made me feel better about what I was experiencing at the time, so I hope it can help other people too.”
George Eve's first dip into the music scene was crafting songs with the prolific Ben Baptie (Rex Orange County, London Grammar). “Gates” was written last spring when the singer was overcome with a serge of inspiration, writing a new song nearly every day. The bright, acoustic offering, glistens with a glossy radiance. Reminiscent of talents like George Ezra, Eve’s quirky, colorful quality makes his music a cheerful must-listen.
