It takes a talented producer to assemble such a lineup, and veteran beatmaker Nick Andre proves as much on his new single "Life Is Awesome."
"Life Is Awesome" features The BasedGod himself, Lil B, and Oakland OGs Zion I and Casual (of Hieroglyphics). All three emcees match Andre's chilled-out beat with equally smooth bars. Each seamlessly glides over the dusty boombap drums as if they're posted by Lake Merritt on a sunny day, grilling some burgers as the light hits the water like a diamond ring. Everything about this record meshes perfectly and it provides a timely dose of optimism amid the pandemic.
