Genre-bending artist Jake Zimma combines motivation and introspection on single "Be Easy"

Multi-genre singer-songwriter Jake Zimma offers an introspective journey with an optimistic message in the new single “Be Easy"—a new single that motivates listeners with its thoughtful combination of funky instrumentation and poignant messaging.

Showcasing the California-based artist’s unique, genre-bending musicality and influences, the track plays into a fresh sound which brings together hip-hop, R&B, blues, rock and reggae to deliver an effortlessly smooth but energetic single which is as thoughtful as it is exciting.

Produced with rising artist Zenaware and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Reuben Cohen, the catchy tune which merges infectious saxophone melodies with playful guitar soundscapes is further elevated by its tender narrative of motivation and escapism.

Talking about the theme and intention behind the track, Zimma shared, “ This is a song about struggle. About the deep desire for life to just “be easy” for a day. In a time where so many people are struggling I created this song to help motivate myself and others. My main goal was to switch it up and hopefully get the people dancing!”

With this unique outlook to overcoming hard times and his natural ability to make music that strikes a chord with listeners, the emerging artist has been gaining well-deserved popularity since his debut with single “On Like 40” in 2019 which he quickly followed up by "Oh, San Francisco.”

Creating music tinged with electronic production that's reminiscent of Post Malone, Dennis Lloyd, and Chet Faker, Zimma has managed to carve a space that's entirely individual and authentic in a short amount of time. An impressive number of streams and his consistently growing fanbase are two of many indications of a bright future for this rising star.

Poised to level-up his talents and achievements this year, Zimma has kicked off 2021 the right way, with music that seeks to provide short moments of reprieve in difficult times.
