HFRMX returns with remixes from Truncate and Henning Baer

Truncate and Henning Baer make their debut on Hotflush Recordings with a brand new remix EP. Featuring two heavy-duty remixes of Scuba x Felsen and TML, this is one to melt away the January blues.

The EP opens with Truncate’s remix of Scuba and Felsen’s “Speed This MF Up,” from the Forgive Me EP. Originally released last July, Forgive Me offered a glimpse into a different sound for Scuba; Truncate takes that, and cranks up the danceability. Pumping basslines and percussive moments give the track a new lease of life, upping the energy to create an atmospheric and nostalgic number. What started off as a gentle, cosmic trip ends up being reworked into a piece that was made with the dancefloor in mind, without losing any of the original’s charm.

Henning Baer steps up to close things off with a high-intensity remix of TML’s “UND0”. Going heavy on the breakbeats with lashings of acid throughout, the bass on this one was meant for big soundsystems and low ceilings. Indistinguishable vocals add an element of oldskool rave to the track; Baer’s take on the already extraordinary track welcomes back the HFRMX series in fine style.

HFRMX014 can be streamed and purchased via Bandcamp.
