Produced by esteemed jazz duo Blue Lab Beats, “Promise” offers a taste of what’s to come from Kemi Ade’s forthcoming project. Boasting mellow synth chords that blends R&B, jazz and electronica, it delves into a dreamy soundscape whilst unravelling the narrative of a potential lover. Flawlessly flexing her soul-drenched vocal muscles, Ade’s ability to instil warmth and tenderness from tip to toe truly glistens in this latest offering: “This embodies my sound, or me as person.
