The dynamic rapper-producer duo made up of UK emcee Seinna and German producer Scientific share their debut experimental project Axiomatic. The duo serves up a nice blend of conscious raps, off-kilter beats on this 8 track body of work that explores life from introspective views and all the ironies and complexities of humanity.

"Axiomatic intro" sets the tone with its somber tone and weird sound design that flows and ebbs as it progresses. Seinna opens up with lines like "Mean what you say when you say it, cos as it's said you can't unsay it" bolstered by his deep baritone vocals and unique spoken word delivery. Tracks like "Presence" and the previously released single "Kimchi" truly showcase Scientific's knack for concocting eclectic and rhythm-centric canvasses that strays from traditional hip-hop styles.

Another highlight, "Max Payne," sees the duo working with Jazz singer Ella Frank, who is one of the few guest features on the EP. The track is a woozy beat made up of soft sparsely arranged drums, ethereal melancholic textures, and layered sound designs that sit well with Seinna's reflective lyrics and spoken word style delivery. The rapper has a unique and somewhat weird approach that makes him sound out of pocket at certain times but makes for a great listen as his vivid lyrics draw you in gently. Frank's contribution however is limited to mostly background harmonies that add a mysterious aura to the record.

The final track "Revelations" is a solid closer with its multi-layered sublime production comprising of lush keys, dreamy pads, and clunky drums. Seinna is in introspective mode here and dives into finding true purpose in this rat race.  The track also features vocalist Dani Sofiya who provides silky harmonies that sometimes engulf parts of the rapper's verses.

Axiomatic is for the most part cohesive from start to finish. Scientific's production prowess is splendid and offers something different with a dash of soulful vibes while Seinna's profound lyrics give the listeners quite a lot to ponder on.
