Vangarde is the by-product of the combination of rap veteran Mr. Lif and producer Stu Bangas who are preparing to drop their 11-track debut project. In the meantime, the duo gives us a little serving of what they have been cooking up with this new release, "Shelter In Place" featuring Blacastan.

All parties involved bring the proverbial big guns—from Mr. Lif's commanding lyrics, Blacastan's vivid songwriting, and Stu Banga's menacing production. The track is an abrasive warning to world leaders and politicians to fix up and get things back in order before it all goes up in smoke. Mr. Lif leads the charge with gloomy hard truth lyrics like "Toxicity, not in our proximity, we hunker down and bunker down just to outlive infinity" while Blacastan shares his thoughts on capitalistic establishments and ways to undermine the new world order. The duo is obviously fed up with the recklessness and implores everyone to not sit idly by but be proactive at every turn.

“Shelter in Place” is available on all DSPs here. The track is off the self-titled debut project Vangarde—an 11 -track project that boasts features from Murs, Akrobatik, Eternia, Bluprint, and Reef the Lost Cauze among many others due out Nov 13th. Also, you can rock to a special mix by the legendary turntablist entitled, "Countdown to Vangarde." J Rocc made the 15-minute mix to include classic cuts from Lif, along with Vangarde album leaks and mash-ups that blend his a capella over Stu's previously released instrumentals.
