Harlem rapper Dave East has just gifted fans with a deluxe edition of his electrifying Karma 3 mixtape. Chalk full of hard hitting beats and sharp lyricism, the third iteration of East's Karma series added another successful project to his mixtape canon. It also featured a plethora of features from industry heavyweights, including Benny the Butcher, Popcaan, Trey Songz, and Mary J. Blige. With this newly released deluxe version, Dave delivers 8 new tracks with features from big name collaborators like Dej Loaf and Chris Brown along with a remix of the previously released "Handsome," this time featuring Jeezy. The whole project is a potent collection of catchy bangers, proving an excellent addition to the recent trend of highly collaborated compilation style mixtapes like the ones from IDK and A$AP Ferg.

The first new track on Karma 3 (Deluxe) is "Solid," featuring Dej Loaf and Meluchis, which is a sensual ballad aimed at a rock solid significant other. The swagger filled raps from Dave East is matched well by the sultry intimacy in the features. Next is "One in the Sky," a heavy and thoughtful brag where East takes on the world with reckless confidence. A major highlight quickly reveals itself in "Badness" with Junior Reid. The track's infectious dancehall beat flows excellently over the rich keys and proves a fitting background for Dave's nimble flows. "Bacc On My Level" is easily the most compelling track of the deluxe effort; the pulsing beat and catchy hook are instantly anthemic. As Dave East entails his history of grinding and struggling his way to his life now, the bouncing pace of the guitar sampled beat backs him with a special pride and celebration. It makes his words both believable and incredibly enjoyable.

The deluxe edition of Dave East's Karma 3 is a full success, adding an exclamation point to an already stellar effort by delivering even more fiery rap songs. Dave's commitment to his craft and the inclusion of other hot artists is admirable to say the least, as it demonstrates a deep creative ambition and more importantly renders loads of awesome new tracks.
