Detroit-born, New York-based artist MotorKam is a primary part of the burgeoning GhettoTech movement. MotorKam describes himself as an artist who likes to strike a balance between goofiness and sexiness. He displays this sultry yet droll nature on “Sex Rain.” The track starts off with sleek and jazzy production. It’s upbeat and reels you into an environment where you’re prompted to hit a dance move.
Displaying his confidence through his sexually charged lyrics like “Yeah I see it from behind, Baby let me get that mind." he commands the dance floor to become a space of ‘sultriness. He does a great job of invoking an intimate and somber mood, which decreases the space for people to get close on the dance floor. You should have this song queued if you want to get more people grooving and off their screens.  Stay tuned for the expanded version of Detroit Rick James, releasing in the first week of April, for more sleek tracks like these.
